Friendly fire is something you don't want to happen whether it is during a battle or it is occurring in a nation, a community or a family. There are examples throughout history when friendly fire happened - the Great Wall of China was breeched because a gatekeeper was bribed; David was betrayed by his own son - from the inside. There are steps that can be taken so that friendly fire can be avoided. Confusion about who the enemy is must be overcome. An example of confusion can be found in the story of the battle that King Jehoshaphat had. We must then understand forgiveness and repentance and how they must ignite change. Lastly we must not take anything for granted and be grateful. The symptom of ungratefulness is anger. The solution is to resolve rather than grumble. There is one other danger: be careful to steward being right. When you feel something just isn't right, don't talk against that person; don't belittle. Instead - pray!
Friendly fire happens in war and it also happens in churches, communities and families. Why? Satan loves to see lives from the inside. This message will instruct us how to avoid confusion about the enemy and take nothing for granted.
